The Historic New Orleans Collection Hosts Family Day

art in the city

The Historic New Orleans Collection will host a family day for its exhibition Art of the City: Postmodern to Post-Katrina, presented by The Helis Foundation, with interactive experiences for all ages on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to noon. Bring the entire family to the French Quarter and explore three decades of contemporary art in New Orleans through a morning of fun-filled activities.

Staff members will be spread across THNOC’s new exhibition center at 520 Royal Street leading storytelling, youth-focused guided tours, and hands-on drawing and sculpture. Admission to the exhibition and all family day activities is free, and there is no prior registration required. THNOC asks that caregivers accompany children in all museum spaces.
