Northshore Community Foundation: “The Helis Foundation Gives Generous Grant to Northshore Weather Relief Fund”

In response to the weather related destruction in Tangipahoa, Washington, St. Helene and St. Tammany Parishes, the Northshore Community Foundation (NCF) created the “Northshore Weather Relief Fund” to accept donations for the impacted areas. One hundred percent of all gifts received will go directly to the affected areas.

We were overjoyed that within 48 hours of creating the Fund, The Helis Foundation reached out to us with a generous donation of $25,000 to help local flood victims get back on their feet…

Nola.com: “New Orleans Museum of Art Fellows Dinner celebrates its top donors”

New Orleans Museum of Art was the apropos setting for its annual Fellows Dinner on Saturday (March 5). The event gives the museum an opportunity to thank its most generous donors for their support over the past year.

Susan M. Taylor, the museum’s Montine McDaniel Freeman director, also announced the recipient of the Isaac Delgado Memorial Award. NOMA: Lynda Benglis’ “Wing” foreshadowed “The Wave of the World”

On the occasion of the acquisition of Lynda Benglis’ Wing, New Orleans Museum of Art Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art Katie Pfohl shared the following thoughts on the sculpture’s connection to Benglis’ The Wave of the World just outside the museum’s doors for an informational card that can be found at NOMA:
